Presenting and publishing research and creative scholarship
There are a number of conferences and journals where students can present research and creative activities. This list is only a sample. Students should talk to their academic and research advisers for more ideas.
Conferences
Kennedy Center American 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Theater Festival regional and national performance festivals. This is a national theatre program that celebrates outstanding work produced in college theatre programs, provides opportunities to develop skills, and recognizes new and experimental works, especially those by students.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) annually features undergraduate research and scholarship from all disciplines. See the website to learn more. CUR also sponsors “Posters on the Hill” each spring, giving students an opportunity to present their work at the U.S. Capitol.
CUR provides a comprehensive list and descriptions of undergraduate research journals and presentation opportunities spanning all fields.
Spring Symposium Day: Celebration of Learning is an annual event giving students the opportunity to share scholarly and creative work and be a part of a campus-wide community of learners. Students are invited to submit proposals for presentations, posters and performances. Student presentations and performances run concurrently with faculty panels on scholarship and teaching. Featured student, faculty and alumni speakers are scheduled throughout the day. Celebration of Learning began a student research symposium in 1997, and is the result of hundreds of hours of collaborative work between students and faculty members. Journals
The National Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse is a website sponsored by the National Science Foundation and Missouri Western State 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ where students can share manuscripts. Registration is free; manuscript submission is fully automated.
Look for discipline-specific journals that include undergraduate research. Visit the Student Research office in CORE or an advisor for journal suggestions.
